How to choose the right generator?
Our single-phase generators are used to power your equipment requiring relatively low power. You can use them in a variety of situations, including:
- Lighting: Single-phase generators are ideal for powering temporary lighting systems at outdoor events, construction sites or parties.
- Heating: They can supply electric radiators, auxiliary heaters or heating systems in cottages or campsites.
- New job sites: When you start a new job site, a single-phase generator can provide the necessary electricity before the power grid is installed.
- Working far from the current: If you work in remote locations, such as a field or isolated area, a single-phase generator can be your energy source.
- Power failure: In the event of a power failure, a single-phase generator can maintain the basic power supply for your essential devices.
- Chalets and camping: To power electrical appliances in chalets, caravans or tents during your outdoor getaways.
- Outdoor Events: Whether for an outdoor celebration, festival or market, a single-phase generator can provide the necessary electricity.
Assess your needs:
- Make a list of all the equipment you plan to power.
- Note the rated power (in watts) of each unit. You can usually find this information on the label or in the device manual.
Calculate the total power:
- Add up the rated power of all equipment. Remember to include a safety margin for starting loads.
- A 25% safety margin is generally recommended to compensate for peak start-up consumption.
Select the power supply:
- Find a power supply with a rated power greater than the calculated total power.
