Integrating sustainability into your organization

After conducting an Organizational Life Cycle Assessment (OLCA), Simplex continues its collaboration with Ellio to build its eco-responsible plan, relying on the three pillars of sustainable development.

The sustainable development audit

Based on the sustainable development audit, a materiality matrix was created to understand the importance of these issues for Simplex's stakeholders, as well as for the company's sustainability. This matrix is used, among other things, to prioritize the issues that will be included in the sustainable development plan.

The materiality matrix

Based on the sustainable development audit, a materiality matrix was created to understand the importance of these issues for Simplex's stakeholders, as well as for the company's sustainability. This matrix is used, among other things, to prioritize the themes that will be included in the sustainable development plan.

The sustainable development plan

The sustainable development plan addresses the priority issues for the company. Simplex's plan is divided into 6 thematic areas, 14 objectives, 14 targets, 44 structuring actions, and 68 milestones. Let's break down all these elements together!

The 6 thematic areas structure the overall ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy and correspond to the major topics we want to address:

  1. Greenhouse Gas Reduction
  2. Responsible Procurement
  3. Responsible Consumption
  4. Human-Centered Culture
  5. Philanthropy
  6. Good Governance

The 14 objectives and 14 targets help define and measure the actions proposed in the ESG strategy. Thus, we can track the progress of each of the 6 major themes. As their name suggests, the 44 structuring actions are used to implement concrete measures to achieve the sustainable development plan. Finally, the 68 milestones are intermediate steps between the structuring actions.

Such a well-thought-out and structured plan demonstrates Simplex's real commitment to integrating sustainable development principles into its business model.
